Duathlon: Powerman Holland creates more impact in Powerman Weekend 24/25 April 2004

Beside European Championships Powerman Venray will host three more (Open) National Championship

1. Open Dutch Championship Duathlon for Athletes with a disability on Saturday 24 April.
This might be the biggest eye catch is new, "a primeur", in our sport. This Open Dutch Duathlon Championship for athletes with a disability with organise in co-operation with
The society for Sport for people with a disability in the Venray region. In this Duathlon "the run part" will be done with a wheelie and the cycle part with a handbike. Expectations are that there will around 30 participants for this Duathlon over 2,5 km wheelen, 10 km handbike and 2,5 km wheelen
2. Dutch Championship Duathlon Long Distance
On Sunday 25 April the Powerman Holland organisation will not only host the EC Powerman but also the National Championship Long Distance.
The Dutch Triathlon Federation has put this on their national calendar as well. Not only the top Dutch Duathletes as Armand vd Smissen and Heleen bij de Vaate will participate also the national triathlon Champion Guido Gosselink make a spearhead of Venray in 2004.
Former World Champions Duathlon Huub Maas, focussing this year a the marathon, will be responsible for the hospitality treatment of the top athletes in Venray.
