Triathlon: Alvarez and Fontana repeat in La Paz, Argentina

History repeated itself in Sunday's La Paz ITU American Continental Triathlon.

As he in 2003, Argentineans Nancy Alvarez and Daniel Fontana prevailed in 20th version of the race. Alvarez finished in 2h07m09s, whereas Fontana did it in 1h50m46s.

In the women's event, Soledad Omar placed second; Agnes Eppers, of Bolivia, third; Claire Murray de Hong Kong, fourth; and American Beth Carlson was fifth.

Fontana was followed by Gilberto González of Venezuela, Ezequiel Morales of Argentina, Juraci Moreira of Brazil and Sebastien Lafflame of Canada.
