Triathlon: USAT Age Group Rankings Now Posted
Anxious age groupers can relax. Final 2003 rankings are now posted. To view them, just click on the "USA Triathlon" button on the bottom of this article.
Thanks to all of you who have written to us with questions. These have allowed us to catch many problems before we publish the final rankings.
A few things to remember about rankings:
USA Triathlon did its very best to get all race directors to turn in race results in the proper format. However, not all race directors have complied. If a race is not showing up in your rankings search, you can check our 2003 Calendar to see if electronic results and all post-race money and materials were returned to us.
If you were a member of a world championship team, and this was one of your top three race results, it should be included in your final ranking.
Only your top-three race results are used in determining your ranking.
Triathlon and duathlon are separate rankings categories. You must either do three USA Triathlon-sanction triathlons, or three USAT-sanction duathlons in order to be ranked in either category.
USA Triathlon generally does not sanction races in other countries. Therefore, races such as Ironman Canada and the St. Croix Triathlon will not be included in your rankings.
If you discover a problem with your ranking when the rankings are published, the "Rankings Inquiry" form will still be available. Please DO NOT call USA Triathlon with your questions.
Rankings are available at:
