KLAGENFURT, AUSTRIA – Ironman Motivations is pleased to announce the first-ever CEO Ironman Challenge ‘Europe’, scheduled to take place in conjunction with Ironman Austria, July 2 – 5, 2004. The program will build on the very successful CEO Ironman Challenge event that is entering its fourth year in Lake Placid, New York. Up to twenty CEO’s will compete alongside 1,800 other athletes on the full Ironman course (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2-mile marathon run). Since Ironman is regarded as the toughest one-day endurance event, the fastest CEO will be considered ‘The Fittest CEO in Europe’. Winners of each of four categories (female, male over 50, male 40 – 49, male under 40) will earn coveted slots to the Ironman World Championship, and have the chance to compete in Hawaii against winners of other worldwide CEO Ironman Challenge events for the title of “FITTEST CEO IN THE WORLD”! The CEO Challenge is a four-day program, and includes first-class accommodation, full VIP access and perks for CEO’s and guests, hosts that take care of every detail, introduction to top Pro’s, customized racing uniforms, special help and guidance by 6-time Ironman champion Mark Allen, and many additional benefits. “This is a very exciting next step for the popular CEO Ironman Challenge”, states Ted Kennedy, President of Ironman Motivations, the company responsible for the CEO Challenge. “We chose Ironman Austria as a location for this first-ever European event because of its incredible beauty, great race management team, and fast course. We know there are some very fit CEO’s in Europe, and now we will have the chance to see who is the fittest. Consequently, the best CEO’s from Europe will have the chance to meet the best from America to see who is the fittest in the World!"
