Triathlon: 2004-2005 Road to Ironman Australia Qualifying Series

The Road to Forster Qualifying Series for the 2004 Snap Ironman Australia triathlon has come to an end and athletes from all over Australia are training and preparing for the finale in Forster come April 4th. Yet for many it signals the start of season 2004 as they focus on putting in the extra miles so they too, can join the Ironman masses in Forster, NSW in 2005.

The 2004-2005 Road to Forster Qualifying Series will see great improvements all-round to ensure athletes experience not only fantastic racing but also as many opportunities as possible to be part of the Ironman tradition at Forster for the coming year.

The Half Ironman in Forster has a new date and will now take place on the 31st of October, giving athletes an additional two weeks before they return for the Ironman in April. Cairns Half Ironman also sees a new date, 29th August along with a fabulous new course finishing at the Cairns Esplanade.

The Half Ironman in South Australia is back on the calendar for the 24th of October and will be showcasing a new and improved course. The Northern Territory race will also be run on a new course, so both course and age group records will be up for grabs!

Qualifying spots for the 2005 Snap Ironman Australia triathlon are also available at the 2004 event, as well as at Australia's new Ironman event, Ironman Western Australia,
