Triathlon: Richest Race Ever at New Zealand Stroke and Stride Series

The 2004 New Zealand SWIMRUN Championship will be contested in conjunction with final event of the Reesby & Company Stroke & Stride Series this Wednesday afternoon at St Heliers Bay, Auckland. The national championship status of this event has seen an increase in the prize money on offer alongside the $20,000 plus series money making it the richest Stroke & Stride ever in it's 15 year history.

Current New Zealand SWIMRUN champions Dean Foster & Nicole Cope look to defend their titles against reigning Stroke & Stride Champions Brent Foster and Samantha Warriner plus other hot contenders including James Elvery, Liam Scopes, Rebecca Spence and Carmel Hanly. These athletes are also in the hunt for the title of this season's Stroke & Stride Champion.

Legendary Brent Foster who currently sits on 49 wins will be attempting to win his 50th ever Stroke & Stride race which will make him an unprecedented eleven time Series Champion.

The Stroke & Stride Series concludes on Friday, March 19th with the annual end-of-season Awards Dinner featuring guest speakers; the Athens bound Bevan Docherty and Hamish Carter.
