Triathlon: ITU race comes to Ireland It was announced this week that the Lough Neagh Triathlon in Ireland on August 14th 2004 is to become an ITU (International Triathlon Union) points race. This will see the best triathletes in the world coming to Ireland to race in what was voted 'Best Triathlon Event' by Triathlon Ireland for the last two years in a row. It is the last International race before the Olympics so most of athletes will use it as a warm-up race before the biggest event in the triathlon calendar. Details of the event can be seen on
