Triathlon: St. Croix Half Ironman To Feature Great Pro Field

ST. CROIX, V.I.-The St. Croix Half Ironman, to be held Sunday, May 2, will again feature a stellar pro field. The men’s race will feature international stars Craig Alexander (NZ), Cristian Bustos(CHI), Faris Al-Sultan (GER), Cam Brown (NZ) and Oscar Galindez (ARG) going up against Americans Michael Lavato, Chann McRae and 15 other professional men.

The women’s field is headed by former Ironman world Champion Heather Fuhr (CAN). Her competition will include perennial Hawaii top-five finisher Nina Kraft (GER), Ute Mueckel (GER), Gillian Bakker (CAN) and Mary Uhl (US).

Thirty (30) Ironman World Championships Qualifying slots will keep the age groupers involved in their won battles during the race, which features one of the most beautiful courses in the sport.
