Posted: May 4, 2004 Athletics: Ottawa's ING Race Weekend Psych Up Night Aims to Raise $5000 for Charity Phil Marsh, Ottawa Area Manager for the Running Room, has committed personally to raise $5000 for the Ottawa Hospital Foundation Phil has organized Psych Up Night for the ING race weekend at the Celtic Cross on Elgin St, on Tuesday May 18 from 6:30-9pm. There will be a pasta dinner (both meat and vegetarian) featuring a couple of outstanding guest speakers. There will also be a silent auction with some truly unique items including some framed one of a kind photos and souvenirs from the World Championships of Athletics held in Edmonton, Running Room gear, fitness club memberships, and more, with some great draw prizes throughout the evening. The cost will be $30.00, 100% of which will go directly to the Foundation. In addition, there will be music and dancing afterwards for anyone wanting to make an evening out of it. Phil is also looking for donations for the silent auction and any pledges you may want to make either personally or from your company. All donations of cash and silent auction items will receive a tax receipt from the hospital foundation. Ticket's can be purchased at www.runningroom.com under Ottawa events, and any Ottawa Running Room location, cheques (payable to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation) or cash starting on Friday April 30th. Your ticket will be a race number, with the stub being used for some great draw prizes.
