Posted: June 12, 2004 Athletics: Invaders Place Three In Top Five At Midwest Distance Solution (HILLSDALE) The Indiana Invaders placed three in the top five in the 800 at the Hansons Midwest Distance Solution on the campus of Hillsdale College, in Hillsdale Michigan on June 10th, 2004. In the men's 800, the Invaders were led by Olympic Trials Qualifier Jacob Koczman finishing second in a time of 1:49.47. Teammate Eddie Nehus took third in 1:50.38. Daniel Walden took seventh with a time of 1:51.01. In the women's 800, Olympic Trials Qualifier Hope Sanders finished in fourth with a 2:07.85. Team Director Greg Harger said, "This was essentially a solid season opener as we head into our pre-Olympic Trials season. Saturday evening's 800 in the Big Blue National Invitational provides and immediate opportunity to correct, adapt and apply the results from Thursday evening. The preparation and motivation is there and they will step up to the next level over the next two weeks if not on Saturday." Big Blue National Invitational Start Lists.
