Posted: June 27, 2004 Triathlon: Chris Lieto pulls out of Ironman USA Coeur d'Alene due to injury COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho-Chris Lieto (Danville, Calif.) one of the pre-race favorites in the men's field for the 2004 Ironman USA Coeur d'Alene triathlon has withdrawn due to an injury. Lieto has a possible stress fracture in his hip and chose to withdraw from the event to avoid worsening the injury and pending final test results.
