2004 Life Time Fitness Triathlon Professionals Meeting to Be Held Thursday, July 15, at the Minneapolis Life Time Fitness Athletic Club for Thursday (July 15) .

40+ Professional Triathletes from Around the World Will Convene For Announcement of "Equalizer" Time; Triathlon to Offer Record $500,000 Cash Purse; $250,000 First Place Prize

The 2004 Life Time Fitness Triathlon Professional Triathlete Meeting, 40+ professional triathletes from 12 countries will gather at the Minneapolis Life Time Athletic Club to hear the announcement of the professional Equalizer time for the 2004 Life Time Fitness Triathlon and receive important race information.

Based on past Life Time Fitness Triathlon course results, as well as the outcomes from a number of world and American Olympic-distance events, The "Equalizer" allows pro women to start ahead of pro men by a predetermined amount of time, resulting in a new and innovative competition format, and a dramatic "battle of the sexes" race to the finish and the event's record prize purse of $500,000. The first through fifth place finishers will receive $250,000, $50,000, $35,000, $25,000, and $20,000 respectively.
