Posted: July 14, 2004 Athletics:U.S. High Schooler Chock Running Fast From David Monti (c) 2004 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved RaceResultsWeekly.com Caitlin Chock, the Granite Bay High School, Calif., senior who set a U.S. high school 5000m record of 16:10.60 at the U.S. junior championships, lowered her own record when she finished fifth yesterday at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Grossetto, Italy in 15:52.88. Her mark also makes her the #4 U.S. junior of all time behind Molly Huddle (15:36.95), Lauren Fleshman (15:50.18) and Suzie Tuffey (15:51.13). Chock will attend the University of Richmond in the fall. |
