Caitlin Chock, the Granite Bay High School, Calif., senior who set a U.S. high school 5000m record of 16:10.60 at the U.S. junior championships, lowered her own record when she finished fifth yesterday at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Grossetto, Italy in 15:52.88.

Her mark also makes her the #4 U.S. junior of all time behind Molly Huddle (15:36.95), Lauren Fleshman (15:50.18) and Suzie Tuffey (15:51.13).

Chock will attend the University of Richmond in the fall.
