Posted: July 15, 2004 Athletics: Indiana Invaders' Final Four Ready To Go At Us Olympic Trials (INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders have four athletes competing in the second and final session of the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Track & Field Trials beginning Thursday evening and ending on Sunday, July 15-18th. Adam Shunk, a graduate of the University of North Carolina and Delta H.S. (IN), is ranked 11th on the Olympic Trials entry list for the high jump. Shunk tied for second place at the 2004 USA Indoor Championships and was the NCAA Indoor Champion in 2003. Shunk will compete in the qualifying round of the high jump on Thursday, July 15. Greg Yeldell, the current US National High School Record holder in the triple jump, competes in the triple jump on Thursday, July 15. Yeldell is also a three time US National Team competitor. Shannon Gallagher will be joined by teammate Ebbie Metzinger in the pole vault on Friday, July 16. Gallagher tied for 10th place at the 2000 US Olympic Team Trials and is a 10-time USATF Championships Qualifier.
