Athletics: Invaders' Metzinger Advances To Us Olympic Trials Finals

(INDIANAPOLIS) Indiana Invaders' Ebbie Metzinger advances to the finals of the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Track & Field Trials pole vault with her performance in the qualifying round on July 16, 2004. Metzinger will compete in the finals of the pole vault on Sunday July 18th.

Metzinger, a three time Big Ten Champion from Purdue University, was ranked 18th going into the Olympic Trials and is from Fowler, Indiana. Metzinger has a career best of 4.30 meters set this season.

Teammate Shannon Gallagher did not advance from the qualifying round of the pole vault.
