Triathlon: USAT Age Group National Championship Update

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 13, 2004) – The USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships, presented by TriGenix Sports Nutritional System, scheduled to take place Saturday (Sept. 18) in Shreveport, La., is not currently on a collision course with Hurricane Ivan. However, plans may change depending on the course of the storm.

Currently, sunny weather and hot temperatures are predicted for Shreveport this weekend.

USA Triathlon officials and race director Bill Burke are monitoring the situation and will make a final decision about holding the race by 5 p.m. EDT on Tuesday (Sept. 14). The announcement will be posted on USA Triathlon's web site and sent out as a press release. If you wish to be alerted as soon as the announcement is made, please e-mail Communications and Media Relations Manager B.J. Evans at bj@usatriathlon.org.
