Triathlon: 2005 CEO Ironman Challenge Europe At Ironman Austria

KLAGENFURT; JULY 1 – 5, 2005:

Ironman Motivations is pleased to announce the 2nd annual CEO Ironman Challenge ‘Europe’ will take place in conjunction with the Ironman Austria triathlon on July 3, 2005. We are happy to welcome K2 Performance Systems (www.planetk2.com) as the Presenting Sponsor of the event in 2005.

The CEO Ironman Challenge is a program specially designed for people who run companies throughout Europe (and the world) and are able to combine leading their companies with training for an Ironman, and in many cases, looking after the needs of their families. The program includes the opportunity to compete with other corporate leaders who have similar interests and challenges, full VIP service for the competitor and guests, the elimination of line-ups and hassles, all the benefits accorded to Pro athletes, and positive publicity for corporations and their leaders.

Up to five “CEO’s” from the CEO Ironman Challenge in Europe will have the chance to qualify for the CEO Ironman Challenge program at the Hawaii Ironman World Championship in October 2005. Here they will meet up to ten CEO’s from the CEO Challenge events in the USA, and have the opportunity to compete for the title of ‘fittest CEO in the World’!

CEO Ironman Challenge ‘Europe’:

The Karnten Ironman Austria Triathlon

Catinthia, Klagenfurt and the region around Lake Wörther See provide the perfect location for an Ironman race. The countryside and the picturesque villages along the race course have been fascinating tourists for centuries. This is a unique opportunity to race through Austria’s most popular summer-sport destination.

The start of the Kärnten Ironman Austria Triathlon takes place in the Strandbad Klagenfurt (Klagenfurt’s public bathing beach). The mass-start from the bank of Lake Wörther See takes place between three bridges. The bike course is arguably the fastest of all Ironman competitions worldwide, and winds through the beautiful Austrian countryside. The marathon course travels along Lake Wörther See and through the historical centre of Klagenfurt, and is entirely flat with a constant change of scenic beauty and cultural sights.

Following is a list of what’s included in the CEO Ironman Challenge ‘Europe’ program:
