Triathlon: World Triathlon Corporation Announces 2005 Ironman Triathlon World Championship Qualifiers

September 24, 2004 – WTC is pleased to announce an exciting schedule of qualifying events for the upcoming calendar year. The schedule includes eight half-Ironman distance events and 19 Ironman distance races.

Please note the following changes:

Ř Ironman Western Australia, the Ironman Arizona Triathlon and the Half Ironman Monaco Triathlon are new events

Ř The Spec-Savers Ironman South Africa Triathlon and Ironman U.K. Triathlon have increased from half-Ironman to Ironman distance

Ř The Honu Half Ironman Triathlon has increased from Olympic-distance to half-Ironman distance

Ř The Ironman France Triathlon venue has move from Gerardmer to Nice, France

Ř Ironman Malaysia is no longer a part of the Ironman qualifying series
