Athletics: 2004 Call For Athletics Canada Award Nominees

Deadline: October 31, 2004

Athletics Canada is seeking nominations for the 2004 awards. Following are titles and categories of awards in which we are seeking nominations. Further details regarding the specifics of the award are available at the following link: AC Awards.

Please note nominees should include both able bodied and athletes with a disability.

Jack W. Davies Trophy                    Outstanding Overall Athlete
F.N.A. Rowell Trophy                        Top Athlete in Field Events
Dr. Fred Tees Memorial Trophy      Top University Athlete
Myrtle Cook Trophy                           Top Female Youth Athlete
Cal D. Bricker Memorial Trophy      Top Athlete in Jump Events
Fred Begley Memorial Trophy         Top Marathon and Racewalk Athlete
Phil Edwards Memorial Trophy       Top Athlete in Track Events
Eric E. Coy Memorial Trophy          Top Athlete in Throwing Events
Junior Athlete of the Year TrophyOutstanding Junior Athlete of the Year

The deadline for nominations to be received at the National Office is 31 October 2004. Nominations are welcomed by everyone in the athletics community but need to be endorsed by members of a branch or committee. Please forward all nominations to the attention of:

When submitting nominations please include a citation setting out the qualifications of the nominee including the athlete’s event, performances and location of performances justifying the nomination.

The final decision on the awarding of the trophy shall be made by the Rules Committee of Athletics Canada.
