Posted: October 12, 2004 Athletics: Khannouchi, Runyan top Americans at Chicago Four-time Chicago winner Khalid Khannouchi placed fifth and 2002 #1-ranked American Marla Runyan was seventh as the top U.S. finishers at Sunday’s LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon. The American record holder and former world record holder, Khannouchi ran 2:08:44 in a race won by Evans Ruto of Kenya (2:06:16).
