Posted: October 21, 2004 Athletics: Salmini Films To Produce CBS Sports Spectacular For The 2004 Runner's Classic NEW YORK, NY - (October 15) - Salmini Films will film and nationally broadcast the 2004 Runner's Classic The event will include a talented field of elite athletes and offer a fast race course through the SeaWorld Orlando complex. The event will be featured in a 1-hour taped national broadcast on CBS Network. The broadcast will provide a comprehensive overview of the event, including race highlights and athlete profiles. Last year's broadcast, also on CBS Network, garnered 1.66 million viewers. The event's broadcast will air on CBS on Saturday, November 27, 2-3pm EST. "We are pleased to once again produce the Runner's Classic, one of only two road race events to be broadcast nationally on network television," said Rick Penque, VP of Marketing & Business Development. "Securing an airtime during the weekend after Thanksgiving, when television audience levels are at one of their highest points throughout the year, should once again provide solid viewership for the program." Event highlights will also be promoted on Salmini Films' monthly series: Marathons+ and Running.
