Athletics: ING Ottawa Marathon Athletic Scholarship

Race Weekend Athletic Scholarship returns for 2005 Race Weekend organizers are pleased to announce the return of the National Capital Race Weekend Athletic Scholarship, first launched for the 2004 event, to encourage rising stars in the Canadian running field.

Last year the $3,000 scholarship was awarded to Taylor Murphy of Guelph, Ontario. After accepting the award Taylor competed in the MDS Nordion 10K on May 29th, winning the 2004 Canadian Road Race Championships.

Interested runners must submit their completed applications by January 17th, 2005.
