Multisport: Carmichael Spring Training Camps Announced

Camps Return To Buellton And Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs, CO - Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) recently announced its camp schedule for the 2005 season. CTS will hold two spring training camps in Buellton, CA and five in Colorado Springs. These camps help the beginner to competitive cyclist build skills and a thorough knowledge base for future training. CTS is holding seven (7) training camps this season including one (1) in multisport, and six (6) in cycling. The camps range in length from a few days to a week long, allowing an athlete to fit one into any schedule.

At the Buellton training camps, CTS pulls out all the stops; from the certified professional race mechanics available on staff to the evening massage sessions at the end of the day. They offer a perfect balance of training and pleasure for the active-oriented person, or a challenge for those seeking to beat the competition next racing season. Besides the benefits of the one-on-one coaching, skill building rides and challenging workouts, participants depart with a great experience to take back home.

The first camp occurring in the 2005 season will be among the most sought after: the annual week long cycling camp in Buellton, CA from February 19th - 26th. When first creating cycling camps, it was Chris Carmichael who suggested this location, which features beautiful scenery as well as adventurous rides for cyclists of all levels.

Chris Carmichael explained: "The roads around Buellton are the perfect training ground for cyclists of all levels. There's something for everyone here: long climbs that are challenging enough for Lance Armstrong, rolling hills, and long stretches of flat and empty country roads that are for the recreational athlete."

Colorado Springs, the second camp location, is an obvious favorite for Chris Carmichael who realized just five years ago that it was the perfect stomping ground for the headquarters of an endurance-sports coaching company. Being a haven for cyclists for a number of decades, Colorado Springs features obvious natural beauty from Garden of the Gods to Pikes Peak. There is an endless supply of rides through the foothills, as well as more difficult climbs for those looking to push themselves.

The spring and summer camps in Colorado Springs will arrive just in time to see the benefits of the flagship CTS Performance Center. The Performance Center will serve as the camp headquarters, featuring sport specific camps, nutritional programs and training classes. Among its other offerings, it will provide physiological, biochemical, sport nutrition, and sport psychology assessments and services.

The camp destinations allow for a perfect vacation for the active enthusiast while offering a riding challenge for all levels of cyclists. Training camp manages to capture the reason so many people cycle. Participants leave camp feeling satisfied with a wealth of knowledge and experiences, knowing that this use of vacation time was worthwhile.
