Posted: November 22, 2004 Triathlon: A Clear Vision For The Future Dr Sarah Springman, who is the British Triathlon Association's candidate for the position of ITU President, which comes up for election at the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Congress in Vancouver, Canada on the 4th December 2004 has launched her vision for the future of the ITU. A civil engineer, former elite athlete, and former ITU Vice President, Dr Springman published her vision this weekend in print and on her website - www.springman.info. Dr Springman stated "Triathlon is a young but high-profile sport. To lead the ITU forward to the Beijing Olympics and beyond demands a President who can build a stronger administrative organisation, improve the marketing of the sport and encourage the development of triathlon and triathletes around the world. My vision for the future of the ITU concentrates on three key areas, the development of the sport, international events and corporate governance."
