Triathlon: ePerformance Triathlon Camps set for February in Clermont

CLERMONT, Fla. (November 22, 2003) World-class professional triathlete Luc Morin (CAN) and ePerformance High Performance Consultants again take triathlon training camps to a personalized level when they host beginner and intermediate triathletes for comprehensive one-week, two-week and weekend training camps (www.ePerformance.ca), February 27 - March 13, in Clermont, Fla.

Age-group athletes receive unique, pre-camp training programs and fitness assessments so ePerformance coaches can personalize their camp training sessions. Once they arrive in Clermont at the national triathlon training center and luxury resort accommodations, campers get in-depth swim, bike and run technique training and coaching, seminars on sport nutrition, biomechanics, heart rate training, video analysis, and bike set-up. EPerformance camps are designed so individuals can train at their own speed and skill level with personal attention from the staff.

Morin, camp director and one of Canada’s top long-distance triathletes, has a Master’s degree in exercise physiology and leads one of triathlon’s most knowledgeable and experienced coaching teams, including Francisca Russli, former pro triathlete and former member of the Swiss national cycling team. Other world-class, single-sport specialists and physiotherapists join the staff for larger groups in order to maintain a 1:5 coach-to-camper ratio and insure the personal approach.

“Few camps have a complete, professional staff like we do,” says Morin. “Our campers learn from top specialists and pro triathletes with the knowledge and facilities needed to help them reach their own potential. We give them the tools and intensity to feel like and train like pros, build their own knowledge and a better feel for training, and have a great time while they do it.”

ePerformance camps will be hosted at the upscale Swiss Ski School golf resort in Clermont, Fla., with cycling workouts on the Great Floridian Triathlon bike course and swim and run training in a 50-meter pool at the USATriathlon training center. Campers will be divided into groups according to ability and have 2-3 daily coached workouts geared towards each individual’s capabilities and goals.

February 27 - March 5 and March 6 - 12 one-week camps cost $895.00 USD and include accommodations and three group dinners. The 15-day camp costs $1,799.00 and the March 4 – 6 weekend, $395.00, when campers register by January 31, 2005. ePerformance Training Camps are sponsored by PowerBar, bpStealth, Profile Design, and South Lake Bicycles.
