Athletics: Invaders Add NCAA D-III Runner-Up Steepler Textoris

(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders have added NCAA Runner-up Jessica Textoris, a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College, to the team's roster. Textoris was second in the steeple chase at the 2003 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship.

In addition to taking runner-up honors in the 3,000 steeplechase, Textoris was 16th in the 5,000 at the 2003 outdoor championship. Textoris was also 10th at the 2003 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in the 5,000. Textoris was given the Ohio Athletic Conference Runner of the Year honor for her accomplishments.

Textoris, a graduate of Medina Highland High School (OH), competed at the Ohio State High School Cross Country Championship in 1998.

Team Director Greg Harger said, "Textoris has potential to make her mark in the steeplechase and we look forward to the coming seasons as she ramps up to elite training levels."
