Posted: December 2, 2004 Athletics: New Czech High Jump Series Announced By Bob Ramsak, Track Profile (c) 2004 Track Profile all rights reserved TrackProfile.com With three of last year's top-nine jumpers hailing from the Czech Republic, a new three-meet indoor high jump series has been announced in the central European nation. Olympic bronze medallist Jaroslav Baba, Svatoslav Ton and Tomas Janku, who all cleard 2.33 [7-7 ¾] or better this year, are all slated to compete in the "Moravian High Jump Tour," which includes stops in Hustopece, near Brno on 22-January; Trinec on 26-January, and Ostrava on 29-January. The three Czechs, currently training in the Canary Islands, will meet for the first time since the Olympic Games at the opening competition. The meets are expected to draw a strong international men’s and women’s field as well.
