Athletics: IAAF Announces Golden League Events & Dates

The IAAF announced the schedule for the TDK Golden League series of athletics meetings this summer, and the events in which athletes who win in each meet can gain a share of the USD 1 million jackpot.

The meets will be held as follows:

 Paris                Friday, 1 July
 Rome               Friday, 8 July
 Oslo                 Friday, 29 July
 Zürich              Friday, 19 August
 Brussels           Friday, 26 August
 Berlin               Sunday, 4 September
 

There will be seven events for men and five for women:
Men - 100m, 800m, 1500m or Mile, 3000m or 5000m, High Jump, Javelin Throw.
Women – 100m, 800m, 3000m or 5000m, 400m Hurdles, Triple Jump.

The IAAF World Championships in Athletics will be held on from 05-Aug through 14-Aug which means three Golden League meets will be held after the championships.
