Posted: January 12, 2005 Athletics: Kennedy Becomes A Father From David Monti (c) 2004 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved RaceResultsWeekly.com U.S. 3000m and 5000m record holder, Bob Kennedy, became a father of twins today. His wife, Melina, gave birth to son, Marcus, and daugher, Sophia, in Indianapolis where the Kennedys make their home. "Brother, sister and mom doing well," said Kennedy in a text message sent to the RRW office this afternoon. Kennedy, 34, a two-time Olympian, made his marathon debut last November at the ING New York City Marathon, but was unable to finish. During 2004 he was the U.S. long course cross country champion and set a 10,000m personal best of 27:37.45.
