Posted: January 16, 2005 Athletics: Cheruiyot And Keane Win HP Houston Marathon From David Monti (c) 2004 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved RaceResultsWeekly.com The Houston Chronicle reported this morning on their website that Kenyan David Cheruiyot and American Kelly Keane had won the HP Houston Marathon today. They were clocked at 2:14:52 and 2:32:27, respectively (times must be considered unofficial). These were the fastest winning times in Houston since 2000, and Keane set a career best time. In the accompanying Aramco Half-Marathon, the Chronicle reported that Kenyan Julius Kibet had won in 1:03:20, while American Dan Browne finished second in 1:03:59 to take the U.S. Men's Half-Marathon title. There was no report yet on the winner of the women's half-marathon. Comment on this story. |
