Posted: January 17, 2005 Athletics: Led by Krum, Boston Indoor Games field should hum at 1000m In 2002, David Krummenacker came to the Reebok Boston Indoor Games and broke the American record for 1000 meters. Is he ready to do it again? Time will tell, if you’ll forgive the pun. He’ll be up against a tough field on Jan. 29, including Brazil’s Osmar dos Santos, who last year became the 5th-fastest in history when he won at 600m; Olympians Berhanu Alemu and Derrick Peterson; and local favorite Said Ahmed, who as a prep ran the lights out at Boston English High School.
