Posted: January 17, 2005 Athletics: Invaders' Hon Posts USA National Qualifying Mark (INDIANAPOLIS) - Invaders' Brandon Hon posted a USA Indoor National Qualifying mark in the 60 hurdles (7.88) at the Hoosier Classic hosted by Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana on January 15, 2005. Hon's runner-up performance in the hurdles improved on his season opener and USA Indoor National qualifying mark set last weekend at the Hoosier Open. Teammates Jamey Sperle, Ricardo Bell, and Natasha Lothery won the 400 (49.57), 600 (1:20.71), 600 (1:34.06), respectively. Jacob Koczman, 2004 Olympic Trials 800 meter finalist, returned to action at the Hawkeye Invitational, hosted by the University of Iowa. Koczman won the 600 in a time of 1:20.23. Team Director Greg Harger said, "These are good early season opening efforts. We will be ready to go after USA Indoor National qualifying marks in earnest starting in two weeks at the University of Kentucky."
