Posted: January 25, 2005 Triathlon: Trichic Triathlon Camp, May 2005, Napa Valley Wine Country: For Women Only ST. HELENA, California (January 24, 2005) TriChic (www.TriChic.Com), a company dedicated to female triathletes, and ePerformance High Performance Consultants (www.ePerformance.ca) have launched the first annual, women’s only training camp in St. Helena, Cal., May 26-29, 2005. Participants will receive unique, personalized, pre-camp fitness assessments so ePerformance coaches can tailor camp sessions for them. At the four-day camp, they’ll get in-depth swim, bike, run, and brick technique training and coaching, a variety of seminars, and fitness testing. “Athletes will train in one of the most beautiful locations, St. Helena, California, a vibrant town in the middle of Napa Valley, one of the most charming spots in the world,” says TriChic founder and president, Brenda Gilchrist. “It’s a great way for female triathletes to bond and have that comfort level found training among only women,” said Luc Morin, head coach and one of Canada’s top long-distance triathletes, who holds a Master’s degree in exercise physiology. “It’s also important to identify fitness benchmarks and learn important training principles they can use heading into the racing season.” Morin will co-coach with ePerformance’s Francisca Russli, former pro triathlete and member of the Swiss national cycling team. Sport nutritionist and registered dietician, Cindy Dallow, of Partners in Nutrition, will present a nutrition seminar customized for female triathletes. Ten percent of the camp’s profit will be donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. For information, contact:
