Triathlon: PowerBar signs on as sponsor of Ironman North America events

BOULDER, Colo.-PowerBar has signed on to be the official energy bar sponsor of all eight Ironman North America events in 2005.

Through the deal, PowerBar will ensure the athletes are properly fueled by providing POWERBAR® PERFORMANCE energy bars in all athlete race kits and on the bike and run courses.

The eight Ironman North America events, timing, and location are:

1. Ralphs California Half-Ironman-Sunday, March 19, 2005-Oceanside, Calif.
2. Ironman Arizona-Saturday, April 9, 2005-Tempe, Ariz.
3. Florida Half-Ironman at WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort-Sunday, May 22, 2005-Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
4. Ironman USA Coeur d'Alene -Sunday, June 26, 2005 -Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
5. Ironman USA Lake Placid-Sunday, July 24, 2005-Lake Placid, N.Y.
6. Subaru Ironman Canada-Sunday, August 28, 2005-Penticton, B.C.
7. Ironman Wisconsin-Sunday, September 11, 2005-Madison, Wisc.
8. Ironman Florida-Saturday, November 5, 2005-Panama City Beach, Fla.
