Triathlon: Introducing The "Best Of The U.S" Amateur Triathlete Competition

(St. Paul, MN) Midwest Events, LLC, with the enthusiastic endorsement of USA Triathlon, is launching an exciting new program that is designed to elevate amateur triathlete racing in America. It's called the "Best of the US Amateur Triathlete Competition." All 50 states will have qualifying events and the resident winners (male & female) of those races will earn the right to compete in the "Best of the US Championship" in August.

To date, 32 states have qualifying events. Midwest Events expects to have the remaining 18 qualifiers in place by mid-March. The dates and sites of the state qualifiers and the Championship event will be announced later this week.

"We are creating an excitement level for amateurs and creating an opportunity to get publicity for every state in the country and trying to find something other than the Olympics and Ironman to increase awareness of triathlon in the mainstream media,” says trudy Marshall Trudy Marshall of Minnesota-based Midwest Events.

The "Best of the US.." website will be up and running by February 20.
