Posted: March 1, 2005 Athletics: New Balance Collegiate Invitational To Air On YES Network From David Monti (c) 2004 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved RaceResultsWeekly.com NEW YORK, NY - (March 1, 2005) - The New Balance Collegiate Invitational from the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory will be broadcast on the YES Network several times over the next three weeks. Thousands of athletes representing 75 colleges participated in the Invitational. The top scoring teams for the men were Arkansas, LSU and Georgia, and for the women, LSU, Arkansas and South Carolina. The broadcast is sponsored by New Balance and Super Runners Shop, and produced by Salmini Films. Including an initial airing in primetime, the event will be broadcast fifteen times over the next three weeks on the YES Network, the official home of the New York Yankees and the New Jersey Nets. All events were conducted at the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory in Manhattan, one of the most prominent track & field facilities in North America. "We believe that the broadcast of the three-event series will be a step forward for the sport, particularly in the New York area," said Ambrose Salmini, President of Salmini Films.
