Athletics: Volunteer With The 34th Adidas Vancouver International Marathon

VANCOUVER – Show your community spirit by volunteering, or participating in any of the great marathon events: Full and Half Marathon, and the Canada Kids McDonalds Marafun! Registration for all events is still available at www.adidasvanmarathon.ca. Entries are limited, so register early. Get world-class volunteer experience now by being one of 1600 essential volunteers. Duties begin mid-April to race day on Sunday, May 1st. Join the excitement by helping on and off the course,

in jobs ranging from escort cyclists to course marshals. Meet new friends, learn new skills and receive an adidas volunteer T-shirt and a party with valuable prizes.

Everyone is welcome to attend an informative meeting on Saturday, April 2nd at the Empire Landmark Hotel on 1400 Robson Street to discuss all areas of volunteer work. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. and will last approximately two hours. Ask questions, meet race directors, coordinators, and Marathon staff.

The adidas Vancouver International Marathon is entirely organized and operated by the Vancouver International Marathon Society, a non-profit volunteer run organization. The Society’s mission statement is to create a world class marathon offering a fast marathon course, attracting both elite and recreational runners and walkers, and a series of associated recreational events to encourage community and corporate involvement.
