Posted: March 30, 2005 Triathlon: Ironman North America, FSN Arizona to air same-day Ironman Arizona show TEMPE, Ariz.-Ironman North America has announced that FSN Arizona has signed on to be the official Television Station of the inaugural Ironman Arizona Triathlon, being held on Saturday, April 9, 2005. The inaugural Ironman Arizona Triathlon, which will take place in Tempe and will feature a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike and a complete marathon all run in succession. More than 1,900 athletes from around the world are expected to compete in the event. As part of the agreement, FSN Arizona will air a same-day half-hour highlight show on Saturday, April 9 at 10 p.m. An hour-long highlight show rebroadcast will also take place on Saturday, April 16 at 5 p.m. A complete air schedule is listed below. FSN Arizona continues to televise the most regional sports action in the state, airing approximately 1,200 hours of original local programming a year. The network is the exclusive cable television home of the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Coyotes, Arizona Rattlers, Arizona State University, University of Arizona and the nightly Arizona Sports Report. The network is currently seen in 1.8 million households in Arizona & New Mexico and can also be seen across the country via home satellite services.
