Posted: April 4, 2005 Athletics: "T-Bone" Headed to Spirit of St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend "T-Bone," a nationally known kid's entertainer, fitness advocate and educator will be motivating and inspiring children and families at the "Spirit of St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend" April 9-10, 2005. The highly anticipated weekend and all marathon events will be held at the World's Fair Pavilion. To kick-off the weekend, "T-Bone" will be the keynote speaker at the Pasta Party the night before the marathon on Saturday, April 9, 2005. Party hours are from 5:30-7:30pm. Over 400 people are expected to attend the celebration. As an educator, entertainer, enthusiast and fitness advocate, "T-Bone" helps participants and their families gain knowledge and understanding about the importance of fitness and health in a unique and inspiring way. Who is this "T-Bone" character? The man behind the brightly colored costume and entertaining leadership, is award-winning fitness educator Tim Arem, MEd. Arem's personal commitment is to share health, fitness and entertainment with children and adults of all ages. As the energetic health and fitness character, "T-Bone," Arem has been involved in 500 races and has worked with 1.5 million families at fitness events for over 15 years. His mission "health and fitness as a way of life from childhood to adulthood" inspires and motivates thousands of families nationwide. Aside from seeing "T-Bone" motivate and entertain at the Pasta Party, he will also be sharing his awarding winning fitness program, "T-Bone's Fitness Mania," 8:00am Sunday morning with warm-ups and stage performances. Children then proceed to start racing at 8:45am with the "Read, Right & Run Marathon" program and at 9:15am, the Children's Fun Runs.
