Triathlon: St. Croix Men's World Field To Be World Class

St. Croix Half Ironman Set for May 1

Ironman World Champions Tim DeBoom, Luc van Lierde and Olympic Distance World Champ Chris McCormack will headline the men's field at the May 1, 2005 St. Croix Half Ironman. The classic event, which features a famously challenging course, should result in one of the best races of the year among these outstanding athletes. The division also includes Ironman race winners Michael Lovato, Petr Verbrousek and Jamie Cleveland. The pros will be duking it out for their share of the $50,000 purse.

The race also includes 30 Ironman World Championship Qualifying slots for age groupers. Some space is still available, and athletes can register by going to the race website www.stcroixtriathlon.com.
