Athletics: Inaugural Chicago Big 10K Run - July 17

The inaugural Chicago Big 10K takes place on Sunday, July 17. The race is recruiting alumni, fans and students from all Midwestern colleges, universities and Big Ten schools to come support their alma mater, wear their school colors and cheer for their schools. 5,000 runners are expected this first year.

With a start/finish line adjacent to U.S. Cellular Field, the 6.2 mile course runs east to the Chicago lakefront near Soldier Field and McCormick Place, looping back to the finish line for a rockin' Tailgate Party with a Live Band, WXRT personalities and Jennie O grilled yummy treats to add to the festive post-race atmosphere.

For more information on this unique social run during the middle of summer, log on to ChicagoBig10K.com. Register before June 12 and save $5.
