Posted: May 2, 2005 Triathlon: Hot Competition Expected At The "Best Of The Us Amateur Triathlete Competition's" Tennessee Qualifier (St. Paul, MN - 5/2/05) Team Magic, producers of the MCMINNVILLE CITY TRIATHLON, and "Best of the US.." management invite Colorado's talent-rich triathlon community to participate in the 2005 MCMINNVILLE CITY TRIATHLON on June 25. This popular 1/4 IM distance event is part of the inaugural "Best of the US Amateur Triathlete Competition," and promises to be among the most competitive in the entire "Best of..." program. For more information on the MCMINNVILLE CITY TRIATHLON, visit www.team-magic.com or www.bestoftheustriathletes.com. A special invitation is extended to the elite amateur athletes of the Volunteer State, as the fastest male and female resident amateurs will advance to the "Best of the US Championships" in picturesque Gilford, NH on August 20, where they'll race head-to-head with the winners of the other 49 state qualifiers. In order to insure that all states will be represented at the Championship, a 5-deep passdown system will be in effect. If the "Best of the US.." state champion is unable to attend the championship, his or her slot will be offered to the next in line, and so on. Below are but a few of the amateur athletes that set the high tri standards in Tennessee. Some of their competitive highlights are included here.
