Highlights for Running for May, 2005 include:
* "Run as One" is the theme in the festive Thomas G. Labrecque Classic in
Central Park, with all proceeds donated to memorial Sloan-Kettering's Lung
Cancer Research Fund. A New York Road Runners event.
* Dig out your kilt and follow the bagpipes to the starting line at the
Scotland Run, a major celebration of Tartan Week which recognizes the
valuable contribution made by the Scots to the foundation, character and
prosperity of America.
* An event that clearly demonstrates age is no limit, the More Marathon, for
women over 40 years of age, draws thousands to Central Park.
* Many of the world's best look forward to Spring in Washington, D.C. for
the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Miler, on a course which features a tour
of the U.S. national monuments.
* Some say the West is the best. It's the 20th annual city of Los Angeles
Marathon, 45,000 strong, with it's unique woman vs. man "challenge".
