Posted: May 10, 2005 Triathlon: Hunter & Smith Take North Carolina Qualifier (St. Paul, MN - 5/9/05) Perennial USAT All American, Sian Hunter, 38, of Chapel Hill, NC, won her state's "Best of the US..." qualifying event (White Lake Sprint) on May 8. She shared the winners' circle with Brian Smith, 32, of Durham, who ran down Nat Swearingen, also of Durham, late in the race to claim a 7 second victory.
