Posted: May 22, 2005 Athletics: Invaders' Nehus Takes Second At Minnesota Distance Invitational (INDIANAPOLIS) Indiana Invaders' Erin Nehus took second in the 10,000 with a career best time of 34:22.20 at the Minnesota Distance Invitational in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 21st, 2005. Nehus, a nine-time NAIA All-American, had a 40 second PR that was less than two seconds behind the winner in a race that had blustry wind conditions. Teammate Hunter Spencer was eighth in the 1500 with a season best time of 3:46.35. Team Director Greg Harger said, "Nehus ran a very smart tactical race. The 10,000 came down to the wire and it was a very good outing." Harger added, "Spencer competed well against a very tough field. Team USA Minnesota did a great job with this event and we look forward to bringing more talent to the event in the future."
