Boulder, CO (May 23, 2005) – Nearly doubling in attendance with 148 participants, the 2nd annual Go Fast! 24 Hours of Boulder…The Run” was once again a hit amongst runners, adventure seekers and spectators alike. The unique race format, called on team and solo categories (up to 10 people per team) to tackle as many laps as possible within a 24-hour time frame, with each participant required to complete at least one of the 7-mile laps.

“Go Fast! 24 Hours of Boulder…The Run is a unique team-building opportunity for the active population here in Colorado, says Heather Hill, VP Communications, Go Fast Sports & Beverage Co., title sponsor of the event. “Whether you’re running to build team camaraderie, training for other endurance events or simply enjoying the sport under the sun and stars, this event definitely takes the sport of running to the next level,” added Hill who captained the 2nd place “Will Run for Go Fast,” open-division team.

The event ran from noon-to-noon Saturday May 21 through Sunday May 22 on the scenic trails at the Boulder Reservoir. The 7-mile dirt course offered the runners a flat, safe and controlled running environment that was conducive to a lot of friends, family and spectator support along the way.

“This year’s event participation numbers truly reflect the growing popularity of this epic run, “says race director Reid Delman. “The fun is contagious and it’s just going to keep growing from here,” added Delman.
