Posted: June 2, 2005 Health and Fitness: "T-Bone's Fitness Mania" Headed to Des Moines School Assembly - June 3 Creating awareness and educating children and their families about the importance of health and fitness has become a lifelong goal for former classroom educator Tim Arem, M.Ed. Hence his inspiration to combat the ever-growing rates of inactivity among today's youth through a national school assembly tour. Brubaker Elementary School in Des Moines, IA, will be hosting two separate fitness assemblies on Friday, June 3, 2005 as part of their field day. "T-Bone" will perform his award-winning educational sports fitness program, "T-Bone's Fitness Mania" to approximately 650 students. Arem performs as "T-Bone," a brightly colored health and fitness character to reach the children in a fun, memorable way. The theme of his one-of-a-kind, 45-minute stage show created for K-6 graders is being active and making healthy choices. The information is implemented through exercising the mind and body with sports competitions, exercise, circus theater skills and music. Arem, a lifelong fitness enthusiast has participated in over 600 running events and has worked with 1.5 million families in the past 15 years. He recently returned from Washington, DC where he was invited to launch National Physical Fitness and Sports Month at the White House. As his fitness character "T-Bone," he empowers children to reach for their goals and pursue their dreams. For more information, contact Tim Arem at (828) 298-4789 or visit TBoneRun.com.
