Posted: June 2, 2005 Athletics: The short and long of it at Reebok Grand Prix Veronica Campbell, the Jamaican superstar and only woman to win three track-and-field medals in the 2004 Olympics, leads the 100m field at the Reebok Grand Prix on June 11. Among her challengers – and it’s a tough task, indeed – will be Angela Daigle, the reigning US indoor 60m champion; and Inger Miller, 1999 World Champion at 200m and silver medalist at 100m. Going 2,900 meters farther will be Gebre-Egziabher Gebremariam, a double silver medalist at the 2004 World Cross Country Championships, in the men’s 3000m. He’ll have to fend off some hot opposition, led by Boaz Cheboyiwo of Kenya (via Eastern Michigan) as well as Americans Tim Broe and Jorge Torres.
