Triathlon: "Best Of The US..." New York Qualifier Lengthens Courses

(St. Paul, MN - 6/3/05) The Shoreline Triathlon, New York's "Best of the US Amateur Triathlete Competition's" championship qualifier, will lengthen its bike and run routes. The original distances were: half mile swim, 12 mile bike and 5K run. The new distances are: half mile swim, 15 mile bike and 4 mile run. These changes will add 12-14 minutes to the finishing times of elite amateur men, and 15-16 minutes to the times of elite amateur women.

The Shoreline Triathlon, which is produced by YellowJacket Racing, will be staged at Hamlin Beach State Park near Rochester on July 24. For more information, visit www.yellowjacketracing.com or www.bestoftheustriathletes.com.
