Posted: June 9, 2005 Multisport: West Point Lake Triathlon Hosts The "Best Of The US Amateur Triathlete Competition's" Georgia Qualifier (St. Paul, MN - 6/9/05) Georgia Multisports, producers of the WEST POINT LAKE TRIATHLON, and "Best of the US.." management invite Georgia's talent-rich triathlon community to participate in the 2005 WEST POINT LAKE TRIATHLON in LaGrange, GA on July 24. This popular international distance event is part of the inaugural "Best of the US Amateur Triathlete Competition," and promises to be among the most competitive events in the "Best of..." program. For more information on the WEST POINT LAKE TRIATHLON, visit www.gamultisports.com or www.bestoftheustriathletes.com. A special invitation is extended to the elite amateur triathletes of the Peach State, as the fastest male and female resident amateurs will advance to the "Best of the US Championships" in picturesque Gilford, NH on August 20, where they'll race head-to-head with the winners of the other 49 state qualifiers. In order to insure that all states will be represented at the Championship, a 5-deep pass-down system for both genders will be in effect. If the "Best of the US.." state champion is unable to attend the championship, his or her slot will be offered to the next in line, and so on. Below are some of the amateur athletes that set the high tri standards in Georgia. Some of their competitive highlights are included here.
